The AES/EBU Digital Cable uses 16AWG Duelund conductors, complemented by multiple layers of copper and tinned-copper shielding, together with carefully selected vibration-control and damping materials.

Although the cable has not been characterized using precision impedance-measurement equipment, it has been tested across several high-end transport and DAC combinations with reliable signal transmission and no observed signal errors.
