Cable Run-In
Most Audiolund cables use multi-core designs incorporating various conductor types, gauges, and combinations. As a result, they require an extended run-in period to reach their intended sonic performance.
The thick, solid-core OCC silver conductors typically require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple parallel strands of finer wire.
As a general guideline:
- Most Audiolund cables: approximately 100 to 200 hours
- Xtreme Silver Series: approximately 200 to 400 hours
Because the Xtreme Silver Series incorporates multiple solid-core OCC silver conductors together with Duelund tinned copper conductors, additional run-in time is recommended before making final critical listening evaluations.

I recently purchased this from Audiolund and had the chance to compare the Xtreme silver power cable, against western electric power cable.
The Audiolund cable sounds more full, balanced and adds a beautiful decay to the sound.
The best cable out of all my collection
I received my cables yesterday afternoon. They sound absolutely delicious. I want to double-check whether these cables have burned in or if I should wait to hear their full potential. Once these cables settle into my system, I’ll start considering either the extreme silver or the extreme for my preamp and phono stage. This will include Power cables and an RCA phono cable. Got this cable from Audiolund. Actually wanted to get the Signature Series but I took a gamble and purchased the Xtreme Silver series as the description encompasses what I’m looking for.
Cables sounded beautiful even without any run-in. The sound is as described in the webpage. I used this in my power amp. It sounded accurate, well textured, full bodied, sweet and musical.
I have tried many cables from different brands and this was the most fitting cable for my system. Highly recommended for those who listen to oldies or vocal centric music.
As a music lover, I have been intensively involved with the HiFi topic for 33 years.
On this trip I tried out a lot of cables, some of which were excellent and extremely expensive, in order to optimize my system.
I discovered Audiolund by chance and tried them out: These Audiolund cables are the most balanced in my system so far, they can easily hold their own against all other products on the cable market that are many times more expensive (with dubious prices!).
The entire cabling of my HiFi system now consists almost exclusively of the Extreme Silver and Ultimate Silver Series and I am more than very happy with it.

I purchased these cables and compared them to my Aluminata power cord, Siltech 330L and Audionote Isis speaker cables. These cables are better in every way and Danny (the cable maker) is a pleasure to deal with.
