Sound Characteristics

Cable Run-In
Audiolund cables primarily employ multi-core designs with carefully selected combinations of conductors. As a result, sufficient run-in time is recommended for the cables to reach their intended performance.
OCC silver conductors, particularly thicker solid-core designs, generally require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple parallel fine strands.
As a general guideline, we recommend approximately 100–200 hours of run-in.
I’m already using unshielded diy RCA using 2 cores Duelund DCA16GA with Switchcraft plugs. This cable significantly outperformed my diy cable. It doesn’t change the sound character but the overall sound now sounded much richer with great body especially to the vocal and mid. The difference is immediately noticeable. I’m using the cable between pre and power amp where all the sources can benefit from the change.
The quality of the sound is noticeably enhanced the moment you turn on the power. Cost is reasonable and service is prompt and personable.
