- Each signal path incorporates 8 solid-core 5N OCC silver conductors in multiple gauges: 18GA + 24GA + 26GA + 28GA + 29GA + 29GA + 32GA + 32GA.
- A 1.0-meter stereo pair uses a total of 4m × 12GA + 4m × 20GA Duelund tinned copper conductors, together with 4m × 8 solid-core 18GA to 32GA 5N OCC silver conductors.
- Multiple types and layers of shielding materials are incorporated to help reduce noise and RFI/EMI interference.
- A unique damping design combines various anti-vibration and damping materials to help suppress and isolate unwanted mechanical vibration.

Cable Run-In
Most Audiolund cables use multi-core designs incorporating various conductor types, gauges, and combinations. As a result, they require an extended run-in period to reach their intended sonic performance.
The thick, solid-core OCC silver conductors typically require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple parallel strands of finer wire.
As a general guideline:
- Most Audiolund cables: approximately 100 to 200 hours
- Xtreme Silver Series: approximately 200 to 400 hours
Because the Xtreme Silver Series incorporates multiple solid-core OCC silver conductors together with Duelund tinned copper conductors, additional run-in time is recommended before making final critical listening evaluations.
As a music lover, I have been intensively involved with the HiFi topic for 33 years.
On this trip I tried out a lot of cables, some of which were excellent and extremely expensive, in order to optimize my system.
I discovered Audiolund by chance and tried them out: These Audiolund cables are the most balanced in my system so far, they can easily hold their own against all other products on the cable market that are many times more expensive (with dubious prices!).
