The HDMI I2S Cable Xtreme Series has strong Western Electric sound Characteristics. The sound is balanced, powerful and refined with quality bass. The midrange is with seductive vocals, instruments of all types dimensional and present. High frequencies are at once transparent, sweet and beautifully seductive. It is very musical where the air and space between performers are extraordinary, quiet and with focused soundstage.
I²S (Inter-IC Sound), is an electrical serial bus interface standard used for connecting digital audio devices together. It is used to communicate PCM audio data between integrated circuits in an electronic device. The I²S bus separates clock and serial data signals, resulting in simpler receivers than those required for asynchronous communications systems that need to recover the clock from the data stream, thus result in much better details and excellent sound quality. I2S is better than S/PDIF or AES/EBU (AES3) because it separates the clock and the data onto separate signals.
The I2S consists of many lines: Bit clock line “continuous serial clock (SCK)”, “bit clock (BCLK)”. Word clock line “word select (WS)”, “left-right clock (LRCLK)”, multiplexed data line “serial data (SD)”, but can be called SDATA, SDIN, SDOUT, DACDAT, ADCDAT, etc. Master clock (typically 256 x LRCLK)
There is NO STANDFRD defined for the I2S pins configurations. Therefore, in order to ensure that the I2S cable functions properly, would need to get the I2S layouts from audio equipment manufactures.
I2S pinouts
Please provide the I2S pinouts of your equipment and direction of cable. There are generally 2 definitions, A and B. Alternatively, please provide your equipment brand names, such streamer, Transport, DDC and DAC etc. and I could find it online.
A-Definition vs B-Definition:

I2S cable will work well, if I2S source to I2S playback device, both adhere to the same signal configuration. So, it would be better if you know the pin configuration of your CD/Transport/Streamer, as well as your DAC. If you match signal configuration correctly, the I2S Cable performs exceptionally well, well beyond expectations. This I2S Cable Xtreme Series should be the only one I2S cable built with Duelund tinned copper wires that you could find in current audiophile markets.
Xtreme series has a very comprehensive and almost perfect sound, with a very strong sound characteristic of Western Electric. The sound is very natural, details and smooth with a quiet background, and most importantly very musical. We strongly believe that this cable can challenge any expensive and branded audiophile cables.
Note: Generally, HDMI I2S performs better than RJ45 I2S. If the i2S cable does not function properly in your system, it may be due to the wrong I2S pin layout. Customer could request a full refund.
HDMI AV (HDMI 2.0):
For standard AV applications, it will be built as per standard HDMI Pinouts for general audio video. Noted that this HDMI AV supports HDMI 2.0/1.4/1.3 only. It could support the highest quality up to 4K of video resolution, with full 18Gbps bandwidth from the HDMI 2.0b specification. This HDMI AV 2.0 cable is not supported 8K resolution becasue 8K resolution will require a HDMI 2.1 plug.
HDMI Plug Orientations:
Please provide the orientation of HDMI plugs connected to equipment, so that the HDMI plug could be plugged in without twisting.
Example:
** HDMI plug is relatively weak and fragile due to its 19-pins PCA, please be careful when plug-in. Audiolund I2S cable is thick and heavy too. So, it may require cable support or wooden block below HDMI plug to support the weight. Highly recommended to use with cable support. **
Cable Run-In: Audiolund cables are mostly multi-core design with various combinations of wires. Thus, all Audiolund cables will require a long time to run in. OCC Silver wires are thick solid core wires, will take even longer time to run in than Duelund tinned copper multi-strands of parallel thin core wires. The general guideline for run-in time, estimated 100 – 200 hours.
The cable is incredible! I never would have thought it would make such a big difference.
The last bit of harshness is gone, the bass is fuller and more precise, and the overall sound is so natural that it’s hard to believe. It’s one of the best upgrades I’ve made!

I have been “learning” in High End for over 20 years and I have accepted that, with every change one makes, something is gained but also something is lost. If one gains more than one loses, one must be happy… So: I just installed the Audiolund Xtreme Series Delund Cooper I2S cable in my system and, after 100 hours of burning-in, I can confirm that, for the first and only time in all these years, not only did I not lose anything at all but, on the contrary, I gained much more than I expected and dreamed of: Tonal balance, precision, clarity, wonderful timbres, huge sound stage, great depth, sweetness… All of this can be summed up in two words: Effortless musicality. I finally stopped focusing on frequencies and let myself to feel the music. A small cable dedicated to the “difficult” I2S interface brought a big upgrade to my, quite worked, system, and It brought great joy to my speakers and, of course, to me. Thanks Danny Lee!
certainly, the i2s is superior to the aes / ebu but all the same, this cable transfigured the CD player
I recently bought the Nuprime CDT10 reader because it has an I2S output port. the cables I tried did not give satisfaction but when I tried the Xreme I2S cable, the player was transformed… I can’t find any faults to note… (40 years of audiophilia)
I tried quite a number of i2s cables and this is the most satisfying. This really brings out the musicality with such glorious mids and pleasant-sounding highs and lows. Service from the seller Danny is also excellent. He is very patient, helpful and never gets tired replying to my messages.

A truly wonderful I2S cable. My system was lacking a little musicality running my previous AVPlay HD300 pure silver I2S cables or red WireWorld Starlight 7. The Audiolund XTreme I2S has this in spades delivering very natural sounding voices. A very worthwhile upgrade.
