Description
Designed and handcrafted using carefully selected combinations of 5N OCC Silver conductors, the Audiolund True Silver Series is meticulously fine-tuned to achieve exceptional sound quality while minimizing signal transmission loss.
Audiolund XLR to RCA/RCA to XLR Interconnect Cable ~ True Silver Series
- Upgraded Version: The XLR/RCA cable construction has been revised and optimized to further enhance sound quality.
1. Standard XLR to RCA format
- Constructed according to the standard XLR-to-RCA configuration, with Pin 1 and Pin 3 connected to ground, suitable for transformer-coupled outputs.
- Uses specially selected and imported European-made 5N OCC Silver conductors.
- Employs 11 solid-core conductors ranging from 15GA to 32GA:
15GA + 21GA + 21GA + 21GA + 24GA + 26GA + 28GA + 29GA + 29GA + 32GA + 32GA - Multiple conductor sizes are combined for both the positive and negative signal paths.
- A 1.0-meter stereo pair uses approximately 4m × 11 conductor sizes of 5N OCC Silver, totaling 40 wires, plus 2m of silver-plated copper wire for grounding.

2. XLR to RCA with Pin-3 Open
- It is constructed as per the MERGING+NADAC’s method, same for Benchmark, Weiss and others
- Use 5N OCC silver cables made in Europe, specially selected and imported
- Use multiple various sizes (11 solid cores of 15GA+21GA+21GA+21GA+24GA+26GA+28GA+29GA+29GA+32GA+32A) of 5N OCC silver wires in the positive signal
- A total of 2m x 11 various sizes of 5N OCC silver wires are used for 1.0 meter pair + tinned copper shields for grounding

3. XLR to RCA with Pin-3 Open added 10K Ohm resistor to ground

- Use various types and multiple layers of shielding materials for shielding to reduce noise and RFI/EMI interference
- With unique damping design, use various types of anti-vibration/damping materials to suppress vibration and isolation
- 1.0m standard length with other length options
True Silver Series Sound Character
The True Silver Series XLR to RCA / RCA to XLR Interconnect Cable employs 11 solid-core 5N OCC Silver conductors, ranging from 15GA to 32GA, per signal path.
Carefully engineered to deliver a distinctive interpretation of pure-silver performance, the True Silver Series combines purity, speed, transparency, and fast dynamics with a warmer tonal balance, powerful presentation, and rich, full-bodied texture.
Each cable is handcrafted using carefully selected, imported 5N OCC Silver conductors in multiple gauges and finished with premium audiophile-grade connectors.
Rather than presenting the lean or overly bright character sometimes associated with silver cables, the True Silver Series is tuned for a full-bodied, organic, dynamic, and engaging presentation, establishing Audiolund’s interpretation of a modern pure-silver sound.
Approximate conductor cross-sectional area:
3.61 mm² of OCC Silver per meter, per positive/negative channel.
Humble Comments
The True Silver Series offers a stronger tonal presence with a warmer, richer, and more full-bodied presentation. Its greatest strength lies in its ability to combine the purity and speed of OCC Silver with a natural, organic, full-bodied, and highly dynamic sound.
Selecting the Right Audiolund Series
For simplified product selection:
- Xtreme Series – For enthusiasts who prefer the classic vintage Duelund/Western Electric sonic character.
- True Silver Series – For listeners seeking the purity, speed, and transparency of modern 5N OCC Silver.
- Xtreme Silver Series – For those who enjoy the Duelund/Western Electric signature with additional silver-derived refinement and detail.
- Ultimate Silver Series – For listeners who favor silver performance while retaining elements of the classic Duelund character.
- Flagship Series – For those seeking an equal balance of both sonic signatures.

1) Default: White Stripe + Transparent Stripe on White Background
- Better wear resistance
- Recommended and default option

2) Silver Foil + Transparent Stripe on White Background
- Distinctive silver appearance
- Silver foil has lower wear resistance and should be handled with additional care
Cable Run-In
Audiolund cables primarily use multi-core constructions with carefully selected combinations of conductors. As a result, they generally require an extended run-in period to reach their intended performance.
The thicker solid-core OCC silver conductors used in the True Silver Series typically require a longer run-in period than the parallel, fine-stranded Duelund tinned-copper conductors used in other Audiolund designs.
As a general guideline, we recommend approximately 100 to 200 hours of run-in.
