Audiolund Ethernet Cable/RJ45 I2S Cable ~ Flagship Series
– Use Use 8* 3 solid cores of (0.7mm 21GA) of 5N OCC Silver wires (equal to 4*16GA)s of 5N OCC silver wires in TP1/TP2 +/- as well as on TP3/TP4 +/- pins
– Built with Telegartner RJ45 Cat 8.1 Ethernet connector and verified with Cat8 same speed/spec with RJ45 T-568B Standard
– RJ45 100 Mb speed for the best audio quality and 1 Gb speed for PC connectivity, and other high-traffic-flow devices, such as the Roon Core processor.
– It is an Ethernet cable/RJ45 I2S/IIS cable (built with RJ45 T-568B Standard), used to connect to Transport/DAC or Streamer/DAC, instead of SPDIF digital cable or AES balanced digital cable
– Use various types and multiple layers of shielding materials for shielding to reduce noise and RFI/EMI interference
– With unique damping design, use various types of anti-vibration/damping materials to suppress vibration and isolation
– 1.0m standard length with other length options

Default version: 8 OCC Silver cables

– Use All Silver wires for All pins. Use 8*3 solid cores of (21GA+21GA+21GA, equal to 16GA) of OCC silver wires in TP1/TP2 +/- and TP3/TP4 +/- pins.

RJ45 I2S/IIS Cable:

If you want to use this RJ45 Ethernet Cable as a RJ45 I2S Cable, it is constructed as per Standard RJ45 T-568B Standard. For special I2S pinout configuration built with non T-4568B standard, please contact us.

 

RJ45 Ethernet cable specifications to use wires between 22 AWG to 28 AWG wires. The Flagship series RJ45 Ethernet uses 3 solid cores of (21GA+21GA+21, equal to 16GA) of 5N OCC silver wires, exceed the spec limit for Ethernet cable. It is OK for audio device application for best sounds, however, it is not recommended to use it on other non audio application.

The RJ45 Ethernet Cable Flagship Series performs the best in term of overall presentation with modern pure silver sounds due to its 3*21GA solid Silver multicore wires. The sound quality of the Flagship series Ethernet cable, Ultimate Silver Ethernet cable and True Silver series Ethernet cable are actually quite similar becasue all using OCC silver wires. Flagship series is the best among the three series, becasue it uses the thickest wire, 3*21GA. The sounds are slightly more body, slightly more powerful and slightly better in full range. It also has sweet, delicate, fast and dynamics sounds with a stronger tone, warmer with richer full body texture sound, same as the other 2 series. Flagship series is specially designed for top high-end system, for audiophiles with top end system or for those who demand the best available ethernet cable. It is the top series of Audiolund ethernet cables.

My humble suggestion: The flagship series of RJ45 Ethernet Cable(use 3*0.7mm cores), Ultimate Silver series RJ45 Ethernet Cable(use 7*small cores) and True Silver series RJ45 Ethernet Cable(use 1.0mm core) are actually with similar sounds, all using 5N OCC silver wires. It is quite difficult to tell the minor differences unless you have hi-resolution system. You could pick either one of them based on your personal preference and budget. With critical listening, True Silver series slightly warmer on midrange due to its thick solid core 18awg OCC Silver wires, as for Ultimate Silver series, it seems slightly more refine, slightly more detail because it is using 7* small OCC Silver multicore wires. Flagship series will be in between the two series with slightly more body, slightly more powerful and slightly better in full range becasue of its thickest 3*21GA wires. My personal preference will be either Flagship series or Ultimate Silver series. Disclaimer: All the Hi-Fi setup different in term of Equipment/Speaker/Room/Accessories etc. so, you may get different results in different setup. The above suggestion is only for your reading reference only.

RJ45 Ethernet Plugs Orientation

Audiolund cables are quite thick and stiff, although it could be bend easily, but could be hard to “twist” if the orientation of the plugs is not aligned properly. The standard orientation for RJ45 plug is as above, however, it is also depending on how you place your equipment, Top to Down, Left to Right or Right to Left ?
Please provide a picture of your equipment, looking from the back, to show the RJ45 Ethernet connectors.

Cable Run-In: Audiolund cables are mostly multi-core design with various combinations of wires. Thus, all Audiolund cables will require long time to run-in.  OCC Silver wires are thick solid core wires, will take even longer time to burn-in than Duelund tinned copper multi-strands of parallel thin core wires. The general guideline for run-in time, estimated 100 – 200 hours. Flagship series will need to run in more hours.
