The Flagship Series exceeds these standards by utilizing three 21 AWG solid-core 5N OCC Silver conductors (equivalent to approximately 16 AWG total cross-sectional area), combined with 16 AWG Duelund Tinned Copper conductors.
This cable is purpose-built for audio applications, including streamers, media players, DDCs, and DACs, where maximum sound quality is the primary objective. It is not intended for general networking or computing applications.
USB Performance and Verification
While we do not utilize laboratory-grade impedance measurement equipment, all Audiolund USB cables have been extensively tested across multiple high-end audio systems, including streamers, transports, and DACs.
Testing has demonstrated stable operation with no signal errors and performance comparable to, or exceeding, many established high-end USB cable brands. Based on these results, we are confident that the cable design meets the required 90-ohm USB specification. USB A-B Plugs Orientation
Due to the substantial conductor size and multi-layer construction, Audiolund USB cables are relatively thick and robust. While the cable can be bent comfortably, rotational twisting may be more restrictive if connector orientation is not properly matched to your equipment layout.
The standard USB A-B orientation is suitable for most installations. However, equipment placement may vary depending on whether components are positioned:
- Top-to-bottom
- Left-to-right
- Right-to-left

Cable Run-In
Most Audiolund cables utilize complex multi-core conductor architectures and therefore require an extended burn-in period to achieve optimal performance.
The solid-core 5N OCC silver conductors used in the Flagship Series generally require longer run-in times than Duelund’s multi-strand tinned copper conductors.
Recommended Run-In Period
- General Audiolund cables: 100-200 hours
- Flagship Series: 200-400 hours
