Audiolund USB A-B/A-C Cable ~ Flagship Series

– Use 4* 3 solid cores of (21GA) of 5N OCC Silver wires (equal to 4*16GA) of in both the positive/Negative data, as well power +5v/Ground
– Use various types and multiple layers of shielding materials for shielding to reduce noise and RFI/EMI interference
– With unique damping design, use various types of anti-vibration/damping materials to suppress vibration and isolation
– 1.0m standard length with other length options
– Option: Standard USB cable or Dual-Headed USB cable

Standard USB version: 1 USB-A and 1 USB-B without separate 5V DC power supply. Specifically added USB A to USB-C cable.

Dual-headed USB version: 2 USB-A + 1 USB-B. This design for a separate 5V DC power supply, 1 USB-A plug in to audio source, the other USB-A plug in to 5V DC power supply.

Typically, USB cable use wires between 20 AWG to 28 AWG wires. Flagship series USB cable uses 3 *solid cores of (21GA+21GA+21GA, equal to 16GA) of 5N OCC Silver wires exceed the spec limit for USB cable. It is OK for audio device application for best sounds, however, it is not recommended to use it on other non audio application.

We do not use a precision measurement equipment to measure, however, all series of the USB Cables are tested and verified on a few different high-end systems (Streamer/Transport/DAC), with no signal error, perform better and comparably with other famous branded USB cables and thus, it is confirmed that it should be meeting the 90 ohm specification. So far, it is working fine on all the audiophiles’ system with various combinations/setup.

The USB Cable Flagship Series performs the best in term of overall presentation with modern pure silver sounds due to its 3*21GA solid Silver multicore wires. The sound quality of the Flagship series USB cable, Ultimate Silver USB cable and True Silver series USB cable are actually quite similar becasue all using OCC silver wires. Flagship series is the best among the three series, becasue it uses the thickest wire, 3*21GA. The sounds are slightly more body, slightly more powerful and slightly better in full range. It also has sweet, delicate, fast and dynamics sounds with a stronger tone, warmer with richer full body texture sound, same as the other 2 series. Flagship series is specially designed for top high-end system, for audiophiles with top end system or for those who demand the best available USB cable. It is the top series of Audiolund USB cables.

My humble suggestion: The flagship series of USB cable(use 3*0.7mm cores), Ultimate Silver series USB cable(use 7*small cores) and True Silver series USB cable(use 1.0mm core) are actually with similar sounds, all using 5N OCC silver wires. It is quite difficult to tell the minor differences unless you have hi-resolution system. You could pick either one of them based on your personal preference and budget. With critical listening, True Silver series slightly warmer on midrange due to its thick solid core 18awg OCC Silver wires, as for Ultimate Silver series, it seems slightly more refine, slightly more detail because it is using 7* small OCC Silver multicore wires. Flagship series will be in between the two series with slightly more body, slightly more powerful and slightly better in full range becasue of its thickest 3*21GA wires. My personal preference will be Flagship series or Ultimate Silver series. Disclaimer: All the Hi-Fi setup different in term of Equipment/Speaker/Room/Accessories etc. so, you may get different results in different setup. The above suggestion is only for your reading reference only.

USB A-B Plugs Orientation

Audiolund cables are quite thick and stiff, although it could be bend easily, but could be hard to “twist” if the orientation of the plugs is not aligned properly. The standard orientation for USB A-B plug is as above, however, it is also depending on how you place your equipment, Top to Down, Left to Right or Right to Left ?
Please provide a picture of your equipment, looking from the back, to show the USB A-B connectors.

Cable Run-In: Audiolund cables are mostly multi-core design with various combinations of wires. Thus, all Audiolund cables will require long time to run-in.  OCC Silver wires are thick solid core wires, will take even longer time to burn-in than Duelund tinned copper multi-strands of parallel thin core wires. The general guideline for run-in time, estimated 100 – 200 hours. Flagship series will need to run in more hours.
