Audiolund XLR Balance Interconnect Cable ~ Flagship Series

XLR Plugs Orientations
Audiolund cables use substantial multi-conductor constructions and are therefore relatively thick and firm. Although the cables can be bent easily for normal installation, twisting the cable can be more difficult if the XLR plug orientation does not align correctly with the equipment connectors.
The standard XLR plug orientation is shown above. However, the ideal orientation may vary depending on the physical arrangement of your equipment, such as:
- Top to bottom
- Left to right
- Right to left
For the best cable configuration, please provide a photo of your equipment viewed from the rear, clearly showing the XLR connectors. This allows us to determine the most suitable plug orientation before assembly.
Cable Run-In
Due to their complex multi-core construction and the use of large solid-core conductors, Audiolund cables require an extended run-in period before reaching their full performance potential.
Recommended run-in times:
- General Audiolund cables: 100-200 hours
- Flagship Series: 200-400 hours
The substantial use of thick solid-core 5N OCC Silver conductors contributes to the longer stabilization period compared to conventional stranded conductors.
I purchased an XLR interconnect cable from Audiolund and subsequently requested a return. Danny handled the entire process with outstanding professionalism, transparency and promptness. The refund was processed quickly and without any complications.
Regarding the cable itself — the Audiolund Flagship is a beautifully crafted and genuinely interesting product. Unfortunately, in the context of my specific system, it did not deliver the sonic difference I was hoping for. This is in no way a reflection on the quality of the workmanship, but simply a matter of system matching — something that is always difficult to predict in high-end audio.
