The Signature Series Speaker Cable retains the characteristic Duelund/Western Electric-inspired sonic signature. Compared with the Reference Series, it incorporates additional Duelund conductors, enhanced shielding, and additional isolation materials to further minimize signal transmission loss and improve the overall presentation.
The result is a fuller, more refined, and musically engaging sound while maintaining the natural tonal character associated with Duelund tinned copper conductors.
Cable Run-In
Audiolund cables primarily use multi-core constructions with various conductor combinations and therefore require an extended run-in period to reach their optimal performance.
OCC silver conductors, particularly thicker solid-core designs, generally require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple thin strands in parallel.
As a general guideline, the recommended run-in period is approximately 100–200 hours.
Very pleased with these speaker cables. Elevated my system a notch up for sure – larger instrument size, cleaner highs, more grunt and weight in the lower registers. Darker background! And for those into female vocals – very good news. More body and it gave a more “human” tone.
I tried the cable. And bought it. I have on hand some cables to compare it with. Below are some of my notes. From number 5 all the way to 1. 1 is best.
5) Using Nordost Odin signal cable as speaker cable. From Taobao. Sounds restraint.
4) Audience Ohno III. Sounds more open and smooth. But focuses on bass (bass stronger than satori) and highs. Highs a bit shrill.
3) Acoustic Zen Satori. Great cable. Lively. Open. Good mid range. Mid bass region a bit stronger than neutral but it makes the music sounds nice. I like it so no issue for me.
2) Helix plus by Mapleshade. My 20 yr cable. Open. Lively. Balanced across frequency range. Even better than the Satori in liveliness. And the Helix plus does not make any part of the frequency larger. Big surprise of the day.
1) Audioland Signature. Heavy. Once put into the system, it is very obvious that it is the better speaker than the Helix plus and the Satori. It is like a veil has been lifted. It paints a much better and clearer audio picture. Better timbre so music instrument sounds more realistic. It is on another level.
Speaker cables bring out the vocals and add a holographic soundstage to it. Vocals are much more meatier and musical. It really brought out the vintage WE sound characteristics
