Audiolund XLR Balance Interconnect Cable ~ Signature Series
- Improved Construction: Revised XLR cable architecture designed to further enhance overall sound quality.
- Conductor Configuration: Each positive and negative signal channel uses 1 × 12 AWG + 1 × 20 AWG Duelund tinned copper wire in a multi-wire configuration.
- Total Conductor Material: A 1.0-meter pair uses 4 m × 12 AWG + 4 m × 20 AWG Duelund tinned copper wire, together with 2 m of silver-plated copper wire for grounding.
- Multi-Layer Shielding: Multiple types and layers of shielding materials are applied to reduce noise and RFI/EMI interference.
- Advanced Damping: A unique damping structure incorporates multiple anti-vibration and isolation materials to suppress unwanted mechanical vibration.
- Standard Length: 1.0 meter, with additional length options available.
The Signature Series XLR Interconnect retains the natural sound characteristics of the Reference Series while incorporating additional Duelund conductors for a fuller-bodied presentation and enhanced overall musical performance.

The estimated conductor cross-sectional area of the Signature Series XLR Interconnect is 3.83 mm² per meter, per positive/negative channel (Duelund copper).

The Signature Series XLR Interconnect retains the characteristic Duelund/Western Electric-inspired tonal presentation. Compared with the Reference Series, it incorporates additional Duelund conductors together with enhanced shielding and isolation materials to further minimize signal transmission loss and improve the cable’s overall sonic presentation.
XLR Plug Orientation
Audiolund cables use a substantial multi-core construction and are consequently thicker and stiffer than conventional cables. Although the cable can be bent for installation, excessive twisting should be avoided.
Correct XLR connector orientation is therefore important, particularly when routing the cable between components.
The standard XLR plug orientation is shown above. However, the ideal orientation may vary depending on the position and arrangement of your equipment, such as:
- Top to bottom
- Left to right
- Right to left
To ensure the correct XLR plug orientation for your installation, please provide a photo of the rear of your equipment clearly showing the XLR connectors and the relative positions of the connected components.
This will allow us to determine the appropriate connector orientation before assembling your cable.
Cable Run-In
Audiolund cables primarily use multi-core constructions with various conductor combinations and therefore require an extended run-in period to reach their optimal performance.
OCC silver conductors, particularly thicker solid-core designs, generally require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple thin strands in parallel.
As a general guideline, the recommended run-in period is approximately 100–200 hours.
