Sound Characteristics
The Signature Series AES/EBU Digital Cable builds upon the Classic Series with the addition of 5N OCC silver solid-core conductors, combined with Duelund tinned copper.
Compared with the Classic Series, which uses Duelund tinned copper conductors, the Signature Series is designed to deliver a more refined presentation with a sweet and delicate character, powerful and fast dynamics, richer tonal density, greater warmth, and a fuller-bodied texture.
The Signature Series is intended for audiophiles seeking a higher level of sonic performance and refinement from their digital front end.
Testing & 110-Ohm Compatibility
While the cable has not been characterized using precision impedance-measurement equipment, it has been extensively tested and verified with several high-end transport/DAC systems, operating reliably without signal errors.
In our listening and system tests, its performance has also compared favorably with established 110-ohm AES/EBU digital cables. Based on these practical evaluations, the cable is designed and tested for use with 110-ohm AES/EBU digital interfaces.

XLR Plug Orientation
Audiolund cables use a substantial multi-core construction and are consequently thicker and stiffer than conventional cables. Although the cable can be bent for installation, excessive twisting should be avoided.
Correct XLR connector orientation is therefore important, particularly when routing the cable between components.
The standard XLR plug orientation is shown above. However, the ideal orientation may vary depending on the position and arrangement of your equipment, such as:
- Top to bottom
- Left to right
- Right to left
To ensure the correct XLR plug orientation for your installation, please provide a photo of the rear of your equipment clearly showing the XLR connectors and the relative positions of the connected components.
This will allow us to determine the appropriate connector orientation before assembling your cable.
Cable Run-In
Audiolund cables primarily use multi-core constructions with various conductor combinations and therefore require an extended run-in period to reach their optimal performance.
OCC silver conductors, particularly thicker solid-core designs, generally require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple thin strands in parallel.
As a general guideline, the recommended run-in period is approximately 100–200 hours.
