Our Listening Perspective
The Xtreme Series exhibits a strong Western Electric-inspired character, with a balanced, natural, neutral, relaxed, and highly musical presentation.
The True Silver Series delivers a distinctly modern silver character, with a sweet and delicate presentation, fast and powerful dynamics, a stronger tonal presence, and a rich, full-bodied texture.
Personally, the classic Duelund/Western Electric presentation remains a favorite for its relaxed and musical qualities. However, we consider the Xtreme and True Silver Series to be equally accomplished, with the preferred choice depending largely on the audio system and individual listening preferences.
As a general observation, listeners using tube amplification may appreciate the relaxed musicality of the Xtreme Series, while those using solid-state amplification may prefer the speed, tonal density, and full-bodied presentation of the Silver Series. This is not a fixed rule, as system synergy and personal preference remain the most important considerations.

Cable Run-In
Most Audiolund cables employ multi-core constructions with multiple conductor combinations, and therefore require an extended run-in period before reaching their intended performance.
OCC Silver conductors use relatively thick solid-core wire and typically require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper, which uses multiple parallel thin strands.
General Run-In Guidelines
- Most Audiolund cables: approximately 100–200 hours
- Xtreme Series: approximately 200–400 hours
These figures should be regarded as general guidelines, as actual run-in time may vary depending on the cable design, system, and usage conditions.
I have been using the oil basked cloth rca duelund 16awg wire with duelund rca connectors for a while. That is actually what led me to audiolund! I purchased this cable not really sure what to expect in differences. The top end and bass is very very similar between the standard duelund and the xtreme audiolund. Midrange performance is profoundly better. Much better weight in the midrange and alot of macro details just really jump out of the mix.

Took almost 2 weeks of continuous run-in to bring out the goodness of the cables, my patience paid off tremendously. If you know and enjoy Duelund cable signature, Audiolund cables are definitely for you, tonality and balance were spot-on in my system. As I understand, Danny’s cable recipes had gone through numerous iterations to arrive at where they are today. I use the True Silver series cables for all my digital, and Extreme Series for all my analogue needs. They are amazing once the cables started to settle in, just letting the music and emotions to flow through. Extreme Silver series will be next for me, hoping to taste the cherry on top of the cake with the selective use of OCC Silver cables. Truly artisanal products from an amazingly talented and humble craftsman.
Bought another 2M length of the Xtreme for use between pre and power amp. This cable is quiet and allows you to hear more details. At this price, I consider it to be very good value and I have cables costing 4 times more.
Give this cable a try, especially if you use a tube amp and lsten to jazz and vocals. It is worth using better connectors for this cable
Bought the Xtreme 1M for use with DAC to Pre Amp. Very quiet background which allows you to hear more of the music. Highs are smooth and the low end is very good. Vocals sound richer.
