110-Ohm Performance
The True Silver Series AES/EBU Digital Cable has not been characterized using precision impedance-measurement equipment. However, it has been extensively tested across several high-end digital transport/DAC systems, operating reliably without observed signal errors.
In our listening evaluations, its performance has also compared favorably with established branded 110-ohm AES/EBU digital cables.
Note: As precision impedance measurement has not been performed, we prefer not to claim laboratory-certified 110-ohm impedance. Our assessment is based on practical system testing and listening evaluation.
Sound Character
The True Silver Series AES/EBU Digital Cable represents Audiolund’s interpretation of a modern pure-silver digital cable, combining speed, delicacy, dynamics, tonal richness, and musicality.
Handcrafted using imported 5N OCC solid-core silver conductors and audiophile-grade connectors, it is designed to reveal the qualities of a high-performance digital front end with excellent clarity and refinement.
Its sonic character is sweet and delicate yet powerful and dynamic, with excellent speed and articulation. At the same time, it delivers a stronger tonal presence, natural warmth, and a richer, fuller-bodied organic presentation.
Selecting the Right Audiolund Series

- True Silver Series – For listeners seeking the purity, speed, and transparency of modern 5N OCC Silver.

- Ultimate Silver Series – For listeners who favor silver performance while retaining elements of the classic Duelund character.
- Flagship Series – For those seeking an equal balance of both sonic signatures.

XLR Plug Orientation
Audiolund cables use a substantial multi-core construction and are consequently thicker and stiffer than conventional cables. Although the cable can be bent for installation, excessive twisting should be avoided.
Correct XLR connector orientation is therefore important, particularly when routing the cable between components.
The standard XLR plug orientation is shown above. However, the ideal orientation may vary depending on the position and arrangement of your equipment, such as:
- Top to bottom
- Left to right
- Right to left
To ensure the correct XLR plug orientation for your installation, please provide a photo of the rear of your equipment clearly showing the XLR connectors and the relative positions of the connected components.
This will allow us to determine the appropriate connector orientation before assembling your cable.
Audiolund cables primarily use multi-core constructions with carefully selected combinations of conductors. As a result, they generally require an extended run-in period to reach their intended performance.
The thicker solid-core OCC silver conductors used in the True Silver Series typically require a longer run-in period than the parallel, fine-stranded Duelund tinned-copper conductors used in other Audiolund designs.
As a general guideline, we recommend approximately 100 to 200 hours of run-in.
It’s actually very good, a big improvement over my current cable.
To be honest with you, I was hoping not to hear any improvement, so that I can maybe return the cable, but the clarity, soundstage, instrument separation and speed have improved significantly.
Never knew that the digital cable could make a difference.

Out of curiosity. I Ordered a pair of Audiolund Digital Cable AES/EBU ~ true silver (since my setup can use two AESU) to hook up my dac/tpt. i played them over numerous sound tracks with complex orchestra (some cds were 20-25yo). These ASEU brought out the soundstage with immense clarity and details from my system without the fatigue. Base was accurate,tight and fast. I have known danny for a short time but I’m swamped his technical expertise in building cables. Whether you are a beginner or a hardcore audio fan. Danny has right fit for your system.
Took almost 2 weeks of continuous run-in to bring out the goodness of the cables, my patience paid off tremendously. If you know and enjoy Duelund cable signature, Audiolund cables are definitely for you, tonality and balance were spot-on in my system. As I understand, Danny’s cable recipes had gone through numerous iterations to arrive at where they are today. I use the True Silver series cables for all my digital, and Extreme Series for all my analogue needs. They are amazing once the cables started to settle in, just letting the music and emotions to flow through. Extreme Silver series will be next for me, hoping to taste the cherry on top of the cake with the selective use of OCC Silver cables. Truly artisanal products from an amazingly talented and humble craftsman.
