Construction & Design
- Constructed with specially selected European-made 5N OCC silver conductors. Each cable is individually twisted, shielded, assembled, and handcrafted with careful attention to detail.
- Uses a combination of 8 × 18 AWG 5N OCC silver conductors across TP1/TP2 +/- and TP3/TP4 +/- pins.

What Is the Difference Between LVDS and CMOS?
LVDS uses low-voltage differential signaling, while CMOS interfaces typically use single-ended signaling with larger voltage swings. The lower signal swing and differential architecture of LVDS can provide advantages in high-speed digital transmission, including lower switching current and improved noise immunity.
For RJ45 I2S applications, it is important to confirm whether the connected equipment uses LVDS differential signaling or a single-ended interface, as the two are electrically different and are not directly interchangeable.
18 AWG OCC Silver Construction
Standard Ethernet cabling typically uses conductors within the 22 AWG to 28 AWG range. The Audiolund True Silver Series RJ45 Ethernet Cable uses significantly larger 18 AWG 5N OCC silver conductors as part of its audio-focused design.
This construction is specifically intended for high-end audio applications. Due to the oversized conductor design, we recommend using the True Silver Series primarily with compatible audio equipment rather than general-purpose Ethernet installations.

RJ45 Ethernet Plugs Orientation
Audiolund cables feature a substantial, robust construction. While they can be bent for installation, their construction makes twisting more difficult. Correct RJ45 connector orientation is therefore important for easier installation and to minimize unnecessary torsional stress on the cable and connectors.
RJ45 connectors are supplied in our standard orientation. However, the optimal orientation may vary depending on the placement and configuration of your equipment, for example:
- Top to bottom
- Left to right
- Right to left
To ensure the most suitable RJ45 connector orientation for your system, please provide a clear photo of the rear of your equipment showing the RJ45 connection points when placing your order.
Cable Run-In
Audiolund cables primarily use multi-core constructions with carefully selected combinations of conductors. As a result, they generally require an extended run-in period to reach their intended performance.
The thicker solid-core OCC silver conductors used in the True Silver Series typically require a longer run-in period than the parallel, fine-stranded Duelund tinned-copper conductors used in other Audiolund designs.
As a general guideline, we recommend approximately 100 to 200 hours of run-in.
First, I used an adapter to add it to the end of my existing Ethernet cable (that connects to my house router). It stayed there for about 2 weeks (hopefully breaking-in).
I have been listening to the best (Ethernet) from Wireworld (in Florida), during the past few weeks. It is an outstanding sounding cable.
I figured, even if inserting your fine Ethernet cable comes close, that would be impressive. Well, to an esoteric degree, your fine cable is even better!

Took almost 2 weeks of continuous run-in to bring out the goodness of the cables, my patience paid off tremendously. If you know and enjoy Duelund cable signature, Audiolund cables are definitely for you, tonality and balance were spot-on in my system. As I understand, Danny’s cable recipes had gone through numerous iterations to arrive at where they are today. I use the True Silver series cables for all my digital, and Extreme Series for all my analogue needs. They are amazing once the cables started to settle in, just letting the music and emotions to flow through. Extreme Silver series will be next for me, hoping to taste the cherry on top of the cake with the selective use of OCC Silver cables. Truly artisanal products from an amazingly talented and humble craftsman.
