- The same conductor configuration is used for both the positive and ground paths

1) All OCC Silver wires version: Uses eight solid-core conductors in 15GA + 24GA + 26GA + 28GA + 29GA + 29GA + 32GA + 32GA 5N OCC silver, combined with 20GA Duelund tinned copper.
2) Duelund Silver Foil version: Replaces the 15GA OCC silver conductor with Duelund Silver Foil V1, combined with seven 5N OCC silver solid-core conductors in 24GA + 26GA + 28GA + 29GA + 29GA + 32GA + 32GA, plus 20GA Duelund tinned copper.
In short, the choice is between an all-OCC silver configuration or replacing the 15GA OCC silver conductor with Duelund Silver Foil V1, while retaining the remaining OCC silver and Duelund tinned copper conductors.
Sonic Characteristics
Based on critical listening, the Duelund Silver Foil version offers a subtly more prominent midrange, with slightly greater vocal focus and warmth.
The All OCC Silver version, by comparison, presents a slightly wider and deeper soundstage, with a more organic presentation and a subtle increase in perceived detail.
These differences are relatively minor. Both versions deliver excellent midrange performance and soundstage presentation, while retaining the core sonic character of the Ultimate Silver Series.
Both configurations combine pure silver conductors, either OCC silver or Duelund silver foil, with Duelund tinned copper, resulting in broadly similar sonic characteristics. The choice therefore comes down primarily to personal preference:
- Duelund Silver Foil: slightly warmer, more focused midrange and vocals
- All OCC Silver: slightly wider and deeper soundstage with subtly greater perceived detail
Ultimate Silver Series Sound
The Ultimate Silver Series DC Power Cord combines eight solid-core 5N OCC silver conductors with Duelund DCA20GA600V tinned copper.
Its sonic presentation is designed to be natural, smooth, quiet, and highly musical, while retaining the sweet, delicate, powerful, and fast dynamic qualities associated with Audiolund’s True Silver Series.
The Ultimate Silver Series is designed to combine the musical character associated with Duelund/Western Electric-style tinned copper with the clarity, speed, and refinement of modern pure silver conductors.
This balanced combination makes the Ultimate Silver Series a versatile choice for a wide range of high-end audio systems.
Recommendation
If you appreciate both the classic Duelund/Western Electric character and the qualities of pure silver conductors, and find it difficult to choose between the Xtreme Series and True Silver Series, consider the Ultimate Silver Series or Xtreme Silver Series.
Choosing Between Audiolund’s Top Five Series
As a simple guide, each series is designed around a different sonic character:
- If you prefer the classic vintage Duelund/Western Electric sound, consider the Xtreme Series.
- If you prefer a modern 5N pure silver presentation, consider the True Silver Series.
- If you prefer the Duelund/Western Electric character with added pure silver characteristics, consider the Xtreme Silver Series.
- If you prefer the 5N pure silver character with added vintage Duelund/Western Electric qualities, consider the Ultimate Silver Series.
- If you value the Duelund/Western Electric and modern pure silver characteristics equally, consider the Flagship Series.
1) Default: Gold Foil + Black Stripe on Black Background
- Provides better wear resistance for the red copper and plastic decorative strips.
2) Silver Foil + Transparent Strip on Black Background
- The silver foil has lower wear resistance and should therefore be handled with greater care.
Cable Run-In
Most Audiolund cables use multi-core designs incorporating multiple conductor types and gauges. As a result, sufficient run-in time is recommended before making a final assessment of their sound.
The relatively thick solid-core OCC silver conductors may require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple parallel thin strands.
As a general guideline:
- Most Audiolund cables: approximately 100–200 hours
- Ultimate Silver Series: approximately 200–400 hours
The Ultimate Silver Series uses a particularly complex combination of multiple solid-core OCC silver conductors and Duelund tinned copper conductors and may therefore require additional run-in time before reaching a stable sonic presentation.
This review is overdue since I’m going to get my 5th Ultimate DC cord from Audiolund. Simply put, it’s amazing! The build quality is super solid. Attention to detail is shown through out, the cord durability probably out last me.
The sound this cord makes is just wonderful. You get that fast dynamic, big sound stage of silver at the same time very strong and proper base, yet the detail is clear and deep through out. On my system, when that holo effect sound kicks in, the tinned copper duelund gives the music a hint of a slightly boosted warm mid range which is also thick . It’s so delightful to listen to.
I’m refreshing my system, will eventually try out other cables Audiolund offers!
I would just like to say, that this has been one of my best audio experiences ever. The responses, dialogue, attention to detail and build updates were all meticulous, and the finished cable is beautifully built and was delivered to the UK in four days. The sound is really impressive too, with a wide open informative soundstage, and I’m still hearing a little more each day, this is silver at it’s best, built by someone who knows. Connecting the Silent Angel F2 linear power supply to EtherRegen with the Ultimate Silver DC cable elevated Qobuz streaming SQ in my system, the mid range is no longer thin sounding, and overall very balanced sound with realism. Danny has been a great help, I am going to try the Ultimate Silver Ethernet cable next.

As a music lover, I have been intensively involved with the HiFi topic for 33 years.
On this trip I tried out a lot of cables, some of which were excellent and extremely expensive, in order to optimize my system.
I discovered Audiolund by chance and tried them out: These Audiolund cables are the most balanced in my system so far, they can easily hold their own against all other products on the cable market that are many times more expensive (with dubious prices!).
The entire cabling of my HiFi system now consists almost exclusively of the Extreme Silver and Ultimate Silver Series and I am more than very happy with it.
