Audiolund DC Power Cord ~ Ultimate Silver Series
- Multicore design with 15GA(1.5mm) + 7 solid cores (24GA+26GA+28GA+29GA+29GA+32GA+32GA) of 5N OCC silver wires mixed with Duelund 20GA Duelund tinned copper wires for Positive path and similarly for Ground path
- A total of 2m x 15GA OCC Silver wires + 2m x 7 solid cores of 5N OCC silver wires and 2m x Duelund 20GA wires are used for 1m length of DC power cord
- Use various types and multiple layers of shielding materials for shielding to reduce noise and RFI/EMI interference
- With unique damping design, use various types of anti-vibration/damping materials to suppress vibration and isolation

2) Duelund Silver Foil version: Duelund Silver Foil V1 + 7 solid cores (24+26+28+29+29+32+32)GA of 5N OCC silver wires + 20GA of Duelund tinned copper wires
The option is to use 1) all OCC Silver wires or 2) to replace 15GA of 5N OCC silver wires with Duelund Silver foil V1, while still keeping other OCC silver wires and Duelund tinned copper wires.
With critical listening, if Duelund Silver foil added to the same cable series, the midrange seem to enhance and more apparent slightly, with slightly more focus and pleasant warmer vocals. On the other hand, all OCC silver wires series seem to have a slightly wider/depth soundstage, sounds more organics with slightly more details. However, note that the difference is very minor and not really significant as the midrange and soundstage for both versions are considered equally good to me.
Both versions are classified as the same series with Pure Silver wires (either OCC Silver or Duelund Silver foil) mixed with Duelund tinned copper wires. Both versions have similar sound characteristics and sound equally good to me with similar pure silver sounds mixed with Duelund Western Electric sound characteristics. The decision factor is only if you like slightly warmer midrange or prefer a slightly wider/depth soundstage.
The DC Power cord Ultimate Silver Series uses 15GA(1.5mm) + 7 solid cores (24GA+26GA+28GA+29GA+29GA+32GA+32GA) of 5N OCC Silver solid core wires mixed with Duelund DCA20GA600V Duelund tinned copper wires. The sound is very natural and smooth with a quiet background, and most importantly, it is very musical. The Ultimate Silver series also has the sweet, delicate, powerful and fast dynamic sterling silver sound of the True Silver series.
Ultimate Silver series DC Power cord is designed to have both the WE sound characteristics and modern pure silver sound characteristic. It is a balanced sound characteristic of WE and pure silver, thus it could likely match well with most of the High-end system.
My humble comments: If you like both the WE sounds and the Pure Silver sounds; and if you can’t decide between the Xtreme Series and True Silver Series, then the best choice will be the Ultimate Silver series or Xtreme Silver series.
A simple term for the selection of top 5 series with different sound characteristics:
- If you like vintage Duelund Western Electric sound, can select Xtreme series
- If you like modern 5N pure silver sound, can select True Silver series
- If you like Duelund Western Electric sound, but would like to add pure silver sound characteristic too, can select Xtreme Silver series
- If you like 5N pure silver sound, but would like to add Duelund vintage WE sound characteristic too, can select Ultimate Silver series
- If you like both the Duelund Western Electric sound and the modern pure silver sound equally, can select Flagship series
1) Default: Red Copper Strip + White Strip on White Background (Better wear resistance for Red Copper and plastic strips)
2) Silver Foil + Transparent Strip on Black Background (Weak wear resistance for Silver Foil, handle with care)
Cable Run-In: Audiolund cables are mostly multi-core design with various combinations of wires. Thus, all Audiolund cables will require a long time to run in. OCC Silver wires are thick solid core wires, will take even longer time to run in than Duelund tinned copper multi-strands of parallel thin core wires. The general guideline for run-in time, estimated 100 – 200 hours.
This review is overdue since I’m going to get my 5th Ultimate DC cord from Audiolund. Simply put, it’s amazing! The build quality is super solid. Attention to detail is shown through out, the cord durability probably out last me.
The sound this cord makes is just wonderful. You get that fast dynamic, big sound stage of silver at the same time very strong and proper base, yet the detail is clear and deep through out. On my system, when that holo effect sound kicks in, the tinned copper duelund gives the music a hint of a slightly boosted warm mid range which is also thick . It’s so delightful to listen to.
I’m refreshing my system, will eventually try out other cables Audiolund offers!
I would just like to say, that this has been one of my best audio experiences ever. The responses, dialogue, attention to detail and build updates were all meticulous, and the finished cable is beautifully built and was delivered to the UK in four days. The sound is really impressive too, with a wide open informative soundstage, and I’m still hearing a little more each day, this is silver at it’s best, built by someone who knows. Connecting the Silent Angel F2 linear power supply to EtherRegen with the Ultimate Silver DC cable elevated Qobuz streaming SQ in my system, the mid range is no longer thin sounding, and overall very balanced sound with realism. Danny has been a great help, I am going to try the Ultimate Silver Ethernet cable next.

more relaxed, like “effortless” control of deep bass whilst

As a music lover, I have been intensively involved with the HiFi topic for 33 years.
On this trip I tried out a lot of cables, some of which were excellent and extremely expensive, in order to optimize my system.
I discovered Audiolund by chance and tried them out: These Audiolund cables are the most balanced in my system so far, they can easily hold their own against all other products on the cable market that are many times more expensive (with dubious prices!).
The entire cabling of my HiFi system now consists almost exclusively of the Extreme Silver and Ultimate Silver Series and I am more than very happy with it.
