- Revised Construction: The SPDIF Coaxial Digital/Clock Cable design has been further refined to enhance overall sound quality.

- Multi-Layer Shielding: Multiple types and layers of shielding materials are incorporated to help minimize noise and RFI/EMI interference.

75-Ohm Compatibility & System Testing
The Ultimate Silver Series SPDIF Coaxial Digital Cable has not been characterized using precision impedance-measurement equipment. However, it has been extensively tested across several high-end transport/DAC systems, operating reliably without observed signal errors.
In our comparative listening and system testing, it has also performed competitively with established 75-ohm SPDIF coaxial cables. Based on these practical tests, it is designed for 75-ohm SPDIF applications.

Choosing Between Audiolund’s Top Five Series
As a simple guide, each series is designed around a different sonic character:
- If you prefer the classic vintage Duelund/Western Electric sound, consider the Xtreme Series.

1) Default: Gold Foil + Black Stripe on Black Background
- Provides better wear resistance for the red copper and plastic decorative strips.
2) Silver Foil + Transparent Strip on Black Background
- The silver foil has lower wear resistance and should therefore be handled with greater care.
Cable Run-In
Most Audiolund cables use multi-core designs incorporating multiple conductor types and gauges. As a result, sufficient run-in time is recommended before making a final assessment of their sound.
The relatively thick solid-core OCC silver conductors may require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple parallel thin strands.
As a general guideline:
- Most Audiolund cables: approximately 100–200 hours
- Ultimate Silver Series: approximately 200–400 hours
The Ultimate Silver Series uses a particularly complex combination of multiple solid-core OCC silver conductors and Duelund tinned copper conductors and may therefore require additional run-in time before reaching a stable sonic presentation.
This cable announces its musical capabilities from the beginning, but only after a few days, it reveals all its magic, its abilities to give musical richness with breadth and depth in all the purity of the instruments.
I discover multiple information for my greatest pleasure. I observed much more air and articulation between the instruments. I was rewarded by my patience during the running-in, because after a few days, I am won over by the remarkable and captivating musicality of this cable. Also at the beginning of the running-in, it requires a little more volume, for the same listening atmosphere, but subsequently, the quality of the musical information is so well transmitted with energy, that the volume adjustment must be revised downwards than usual.
The instruments seem to float in the air and their sound is very open and offers great depth. The words are really more intelligible. I feel the musical inflections, like never before. The string sections are very well distinguished, I discover for the first time that there are two kinds of keyboards. The harp and the bells are much better presented. The richness of the timbres are most organic and the extension and echo of the attacks of the violins are very impressive. The bassoon solo is really well detached from the orchestra. The low notes of the organ are better cut and distinct from the oboe and all in control.

As a music lover, I have been intensively involved with the HiFi topic for 33 years.
On this trip I tried out a lot of cables, some of which were excellent and extremely expensive, in order to optimize my system.
I discovered Audiolund by chance and tried them out: These Audiolund cables are the most balanced in my system so far, they can easily hold their own against all other products on the cable market that are many times more expensive (with dubious prices!).
The entire cabling of my HiFi system now consists almost exclusively of the Extreme Silver and Ultimate Silver Series and I am more than very happy with it.

The cable is extremely high quality, and well worth the money spent on it (in terms of audio quality). Also the support from Audiolund was exceptional when answering my questions and giving me advice. I will be buying XLR cables next, almost certainly the Ultimate Silver Series.
