Design & Construction
- Uses 4 × 7 solid-core conductors, with each conductor consisting of 24 AWG + 26 AWG + 28 AWG + 29 AWG + 29 AWG + 32 AWG + 32 AWG 5N OCC silver wires.
- The same multi-gauge conductor configuration is used for both the positive/negative data lines and +5V/ground power lines.
- Unlike other Audiolund designs that may combine silver with Duelund tinned copper, the Ultimate Silver Series USB cable uses pure 5N OCC silver conductors throughout.
- Incorporates multiple types and layers of shielding materials to help reduce noise and RFI/EMI interference.
- Features a proprietary damping design using various anti-vibration and isolation materials to minimize unwanted mechanical vibration.
- Standard length: 1.0 m, with other lengths available.

Ultimate Silver vs. True Silver Series
Both the Ultimate Silver Series and True Silver Series USB cables use OCC silver conductors and deliver a similarly high level of overall performance, but their conductor architectures give each series a slightly different sonic character.
The True Silver Series, with its thicker 18 AWG solid-core OCC silver conductors, tends to present a slightly warmer and fuller midrange.
The Ultimate Silver Series, using seven thinner, multi-gauge solid-core OCC silver conductors, offers a presentation that is slightly more refined, balanced, and extended across the frequency range.

USB A-B Plugs Orientation
Audiolund cables use substantial multi-core conductor structures and are therefore relatively thick and firm. Although the cable can be bent for installation, twisting the cable may be more difficult if the USB connectors are not correctly aligned with the equipment.
The standard USB-A to USB-B connector orientation is shown above. However, the ideal orientation may vary depending on your equipment placement and cable routing, such as:
- Top to bottom
- Left to right
- Right to left

Cable Run-In
Most Audiolund cables use multi-core designs incorporating multiple conductor types and gauges. As a result, sufficient run-in time is recommended before making a final assessment of their sound.
The relatively thick solid-core OCC silver conductors may require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper conductors, which use multiple parallel thin strands.
As a general guideline:
- Most Audiolund cables: approximately 100–200 hours
- Ultimate Silver Series: approximately 200–400 hours
The Ultimate Silver Series uses a particularly complex combination of multiple solid-core OCC silver conductors and Duelund tinned copper conductors and may therefore require additional run-in time before reaching a stable sonic presentation.
The Ultimate Silver USB cable is absolutely outstanding. It delivers a very high resolution with lots of detail. The stage is wide and deep at the same time. The timbres are very natural (wood sounds like wood, metal like metal). The bass is firm and deep. The dynamics in general, but also in the micro range (e.g. the quieter strumming of a guitar string or a quieter piano passage), are excellent. But the special thing is that this cable delivers all this effortlessly, with a superior ease. Addictive!
I ordered a 20 cm Ultimate Silver Series cables with USB A – male to female to replace the generic cables. Firstly this level of customisation with audiophile grade silver cables is only possible with Audiolund. The sound quality was very open, clean . The soundstage opened up and i could hear new details in the background. the vocals were more present and less sibilant. The service and advise provided was excellent as always.
