- Upgrade Version: The constructions of XLR/RCA cables are revised to improve sound quality
1. Standard XLR to RCA format
- It is constructed as per the standard XLR to RCA with Pin-1 and Pin-3 connected to ground
- Use 12GA + 20GA Duelund tinned copper wire in both the positive signal and negative signal of multiple wire combinations
- A total of 4m*12GA + 4m*20GA Duelund tinned copper wire are used for 1.0 meter pair + 2m x silver plated/copper wires for grounding
XLR to RCA/RCA to XLR Interconnect Cable Signature Series have the same sound quality and characteristics of the Reference Series of RCA and XLR. XLR connector is better in dynamics while RCA connector is a more refined sound. Using a combination of XLR to RCA plugs to create an Interconnect Cable, it achieve a more balanced sound using both XLR and RCA plugs.
Signature series RCA/XLR Interconnect cable cross sectional area per meter per +/- channel in square millimeters is est. 3.83mm2 (Duelund copper).
My Humble Comments: Signature Series ~ XLR/RCA interconnect cable has the same Duelund WE typical sound characteristic. Signature Series Interconnect Cable XLR/RCA added extra Duelund cables and extra shielding/isolations to minimize the signal transmission loss and further improve the overall presentation of sound.
Cable Run-In: Audiolund cables are mostly multi-core design with various combinations of wires. Thus, all Audiolund cables will require a long time to run in. OCC Silver wires are thick solid core wires, will take even longer time to run in than Duelund tinned copper multi-strands of parallel thin core wires. The general guideline for run-in time, estimated 100 – 200 hours.
