This configuration provides greater flexibility for digital audio systems using a dedicated external 5V power supply.

USB cables commonly use conductors ranging from 20 AWG to 28 AWG. The Signature Series uses 20 AWG conductors throughout its design.

The Signature Series USB Cable is specifically developed for high-end audio applications, including:

Its design is optimized specifically for digital audio applications and is therefore not recommended for general networking or computing use.

Testing & Verification

Audiolund does not claim laboratory-based verification of the cable’s characteristic impedance. Instead, each USB cable series is functionally tested and evaluated across multiple high-end digital audio systems using different combinations of streamers, transports, DDCs, and DACs.

During our evaluation, the cables have operated reliably without observed signal errors across the tested audio systems and configurations.

Sound Character

Constructed with Duelund tinned copper conductors, the Signature Series reflects the distinctive tonal character often associated with the classic Western Electric (WE) sound.

Its presentation is characterized by smooth dynamics, substantial tonal density, full-bodied texture, and a natural sense of musical flow. High- and low-level dynamic transitions remain smooth and cohesive, while fine musical details are presented with clarity and delicacy.

The overall character is natural, rich, and engaging, with a presentation reminiscent of the body, texture, and musical character associated with high-quality vinyl and analog playback.
