Humble Comments
The Audiolund Xtreme Series Subwoofer Cable delivers a highly complete and refined presentation, with the distinctive sonic character often associated with Western Electric. Its sound is natural, detailed, smooth, and highly musical, complemented by a quiet background.
We believe the Xtreme Series offers a level of performance capable of competing confidently with many premium audiophile subwoofer cables on the market.

Selecting the Right Audiolund Series
For simplified product selection:
- Xtreme Series – For enthusiasts who prefer the classic vintage Duelund/Western Electric sonic character.
- True Silver Series – For listeners seeking the purity, speed, and transparency of modern 5N OCC Silver.
- Xtreme Silver Series – For those who enjoy the Duelund/Western Electric signature with additional silver-derived refinement and detail.
- Ultimate Silver Series – For listeners who favor silver performance while retaining elements of the classic Duelund character.
- Flagship Series – For those seeking an equal balance of both sonic signatures.
Cable Run-In
Most Audiolund cables employ multi-core constructions with multiple conductor combinations, and therefore require an extended run-in period before reaching their intended performance.
OCC Silver conductors use relatively thick solid-core wire and typically require a longer run-in period than Duelund tinned copper, which uses multiple parallel thin strands.
General Run-In Guidelines
- Most Audiolund cables: approximately 100–200 hours
- Xtreme Series: approximately 200–400 hours
These figures should be regarded as general guidelines, as actual run-in time may vary depending on the cable design, system, and usage conditions.

I recently received the new Xtreme Series high-level sub cable for my Sonus Faber Gravis Domus.
The transformation is remarkable. The sub no longer feels like a separate component — it has become a true spatial engine, greatly expanding the immersive atmospheric stage. Bass now integrates seamlessly with my Lii Silver 6 speakers, adding depth and layering without calling attention to itself. Vocals have more presence and “pop”, the overall soundstage feels noticeably bigger and more three-dimensional, and the whole system gained a new level of coherence and air.
This is not about chasing the last few percent of performance. This cable shows that my system was capable of at least 20% more in spatial immersion, clarity, and musical flow. The difference is immediately audible and deeply enjoyable.
Build quality is excellent, as expected from Audiolund. Highly recommended for anyone wanting better subwoofer integration and a more immersive listening experience.
Thank you Danny!
