The Duelund DCA20GA600V is a 20AWG, 600VDC-rated hook-up wire featuring stranded tinned-copper conductors with a PolyCAST dielectric jacket.

The PolyCAST insulation is a proprietary thermoplastic resin composite developed to emulate characteristics of DUELUND’s Signature CAST process.

Important: PolyCAST Version, Not Oil/Cotton

Available conductor sizes:

• 12 AWG: 2.2 mm total copper-core diameter, comprising 63 parallel strands of 0.23 mm
• 16 AWG: 1.3 mm total copper-core diameter, comprising 26 parallel strands of 0.23 mm
• 20 AWG: 0.9 mm total copper-core diameter, comprising 25 parallel strands of 0.14 mm

Why Audiolund Uses PolyCAST

While many cable manufacturers use Duelund DCAXGA with a cotton-and-oil dielectric, Audiolund uses the DCAXGA600V PolyCAST version because it is better suited to our multicore cable construction.

The oil/cotton version is more appropriate for simple, unshielded applications. Both versions use equivalent tinned-copper conductor construction, including the same conductor dimensions and strand configuration.

Audiolund integrates these conductors into a more sophisticated cable architecture incorporating multiple shielding layers and vibration control, providing a construction optimized for our cable designs and applications.
