I ordered a pair of Classic power cords in custom shotgun configuration to replace stock power cords. The shotgun configuration, one length fed the integrated amplifier. The other fed a CDP. Both straight from the wall socket. Two days later, the pc was ready for collection.
First look upon collection, I was impressed with the workmanship. Plugged them in and even on my simple and budget work system, could hear the improvements. Increased clarity, drive and lower noise vs stock computer cords. There was also a thicker more pleasant mid range.
After 60 hours run in, things got even better. The improvement is more apparent on CDP. The mids are more fluid, HF is less edgy, bass goes deeper and is faster. Overall the music is flowing better with increased clarity. Even when playing at low volumes, the improvements are obvious. Now able to enjoy music at very low volumes (65dB) which used to be impossible.
The price of below $500 for two pieces is excellent value. Given the improvements.
Another solidly built cable from Audiolund. And soundwise, this really improved the soundstage and layering.
The cable gave a noticeable increase in layering and depth in soundstage. It has also a pleasant natural tone as compared to the Acrolink cable I was testing. The Acrolink has more bass. Slam and more extended in both ends of the frequency extremes but the Audiolund sounds more natural and presented more textures. Vocals are more real with the Audiolund.
