Audiolund XLR Balance Interconnect Cable ~ Xtreme Silver Series
- Improved version: The construction of XLR cables are revised to improve sound quality
- Use 1*12GA + 1*20GA Duelund tinned copper wires mixed with 5N OCC silver cables in both the positive signal and negative signal
- Use multiple various sizes (8 solid cores of 18GA+24GA+26GA+28GA+29GA+29GA+32GA+32A) of 5N OCC silver wires in both the positive signal and negative signal
- A total of 4m x 12GA + 4m x 20GA Duelund tinned copper wires and 4m x 8 solid cores of 18GA to 32GA of 5N OCC silver wires are used for 1.0 meter pair + 2m x silver plated/copper wires for grounding
- Use various types and multiple layers of shielding materials for shielding to reduce noise and RFI/EMI interference
- With unique damping design, use various types of anti-vibration/damping materials to suppress vibration and isolation

If you need to use Fischer XLR Male plugs for Cello Amp, attached is the prposed option:
XLR plugs with Gold plated sound slightly warmer and Rhodium plated sound better for silky high. As for the Pure Silver XLR plug, it adds more air, seem to sound more details to reach another category. Selection of a plug is a personal preference and is a skill of arts with personal taste, selection should be varied with different audiophile system setup. Note that this observation is based on critical listening on a balance system setup. Although the differences are noticeable, it is not as significant as compared to different series of cables/wires.
Interconnect Cable, XLR ~ Xtreme Silver Series uses 8 solid cores of 18GA to 32GA per signal path of 5N OCC silver wires mixed with Duelund tinned copper wires. Xtreme Silver Series XLR will have the best of the Xtreme series and True Silver Series, although the sound characteristics are not as distinct as the Xtreme series and True Silver series. Xtreme Silver series has the very comprehensive and almost perfect sound of the Xtreme series, with the sound characteristics of Western Electric. The sound is very natural and smooth with a quiet background, and most importantly, it is very musical. Xtreme Silver series also has the sweet, delicate, powerful and fast dynamic sterling silver sound of the True Silver series.
Xtreme Silver series XLR Interconnect Cable is designed to have both the sound characteristics of WE and modern pure silver sound characteristics. It is a balanced sound characteristic of WE and pure silver, thus it could likely match well with most of the High-end system.
Xtreme Silver series XLR Interconnect cable cross sectional area per meter per +/- channel in square millimeters is est. 1.48mm2 (OCC Silver) and 3.83mm2 (Duelund copper).
My humble comments: If you like both the WE sounds and the Pure Silver sounds; and if you can’t decide between the Xtreme Series and True Silver Series, then the best choice will be the Xtreme Silver series.

- If you like Duelund Western Electric sound, but would like to add pure silver sound characteristic too, can select Xtreme Silver series
- If you like 5N pure silver sound, but would like to add Duelund vintage WE sound characteristic too, can select Ultimate Silver series
- If you like both the Duelund Western Electric sound and the modern pure silver sound equally, can select Flagship series
XLR Plugs Orientations
Audiolund cables are quite thick and stiff, although it could be bend easily, but could be hard to “twist” if the orientation of the plugs is not aligned properly. The standard orientation for XLR plug is as above, however, it also depends on how you place your equipment, Top to Down, Left to Right or Right to Left ?

Cable Run-In: Audiolund cables are mostly multi-core design with various combinations of wires. Thus, all Audiolund cables will require a long time to run in. OCC Silver wires are thick solid core wires, will take even longer time to run in than Duelund tinned copper multi-strands of parallel thin core wires. The general guideline for run-in time, estimated 100 – 200 hours.

Talking about the Xtreme Silver cable I bought, We(I and a friend of mine, copied) had been running intensive tests, we did it in order to integrate the experiences paid in the past with OCC copper and silver conductors and with Duelund/WE as well. The outcome sound is our aim!
We love the synthesis you had been able to realize with the Xtreme silver XLR/Fischer interconnect cable, as per quality execution and audio outcomes.
After an intensive burning, its contribution to the system sound, results in a more detailed sound, sound with a warm body easy to listening, voices and instruments timbre are accurate… for instance, the Violin’s playing cords and the wood of its body harmonics or the piano harmonics are now more perceived, they weren’t before …. very natural and crisp enough at the highest frequencies as well(scent of silver!) dynamics are improved…. . We love it! Well done, Danny!
We played either in a digital amplified system (at hi efficiency) either in a vintage solid-state chain(at low efficiency). I apologize for the late feedback but It took some additional time since the interconnect cables were not burned(because of Fischer plugs).
Said that I am happy to tell we should be ready to upgrade all our connectors(two systems) to Audiolund. ….
